Raising Money in Challenging Times
Apr 14th, 2009 by americanriverbank
Current economic conditions have left many churches, Christian schools and non-profits reeling because of a decline in donations. In January, the Sacramento Bee profiled our region’s churches struggle in the recession. Many churches and Christian schools are being forced to cut back and some are closing. It has become clear that it’s not “business as usual.”
This audio recording is from the March 2009 seminar entitled Raising Money in Challenging Times: Keys to Surviving the Economic Crisis and focuses on the new expectations of donors today and how to meet them; how to communicate about finances with faith and integrity, and not by leading with need.
It’s presented by nationally known ministry funding expert Jerry Twombly, author of the best selling book, Funding Your Vision: New Hope for Non-Profits and sponsored by American River Bank.
Key Take-Aways:
- How to build life-long partners for your organization- Raising relationships, not just money
- How to maximize giving from your database - The realities about tithing and giving levels
- How to engage new donors - The development of joyful new givers
- How to encourage greater giving without feeling manipulative - Discovering God in giving
- How to know precisely what you must do each day to secure your future - Yes, a plan!
